TCFrameLock macOS Application

Effective Date: August 31, 2026

Developer: Stackcommander LLC

1. Introduction

The app does not upload files or analytics. Processing is on your Mac.

Stackcommander LLC operates the TCFrameLock macOS application (the "App"). This page explains that in a little more detail.

2. Information We Collect

We do not collect personally identifiable information through the App. There is no account, no sign-in, and no cloud service.

Local processing only:

3. How We Use Information

The App uses files only to decode Linear Timecode and write Broadcast Wave metadata on your machine. We do not have access to those files. We do not sell, rent, or share user data.

4. Permissions

TCFrameLock is sandboxed. It reads and writes only locations you grant through the macOS open/save panels or folder access prompts. Security-scoped bookmarks may be stored on your Mac so a previously allowed folder can be used again. Those bookmarks do not leave the device.

5. Third-Party Software

The App statically links libltc 1.3.2 (LGPL) for Linear Timecode decode. That library runs locally. It does not contact the network. License texts and source are bundled in the App as required by the LGPL.

If the App is distributed through the Mac App Store, Apple’s privacy policy also applies to store transactions: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/

6. Data Retention and Security

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed toward children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be available at this URL with an updated effective date.
