SqlMax - Native macOS SQL Client
At Stackcommander, we believe your database data is sensitive and private. This Privacy Policy explains how SqlMax handles your data. The short version is: we don't see your data. SqlMax is a desktop application that connects directly from your Mac to your databases.
SqlMax stores the following information strictly locally on your device using macOS secure storage and sandboxing mechanisms:
Your database passwords, SSH private keys, and API tokens are stored securely in the macOS Keychain. We do not have access to these credentials, and they are never transmitted to our servers.
SqlMax does not automatically sync your database connections or data to any cloud service. If you choose to save SQL files to a cloud-synced folder (like iCloud Drive or Dropbox), that synchronization is handled by the respective service, not by SqlMax.
SqlMax includes AI-assisted features (Chat, IntelliSense, Code Generation) that may interact with third-party AI providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) if you choose to use them.
SqlMax does not collect behavioral analytics or usage tracking data. We do not track which databases you connect to or inspect your queries.
Crash Reporting: If the application crashes, anonymous crash logs may be sent to Apple (and subsequently to us) via Apple's standard TestFlight or App Store crash reporting services, provided you have opted in to share analytics with developers in your macOS system settings.
SqlMax makes network connections only for the following purposes:
Since we do not collect or store your personal data on our servers, there is no data for us to provide, modify, or delete upon request. You have full control over the data stored on your local device and can delete it by removing connections or uninstalling the application.
If you have questions about security or privacy regarding SqlMax, please contact us.
